I love a good challenge. Especially if it involves books.
To put it in the simplest possible terms: books are awesome. Books are a form of escape, an outlet for creativity and imagination, books make ‘fake’ worlds real. There is a strange sense of calm that I get when I read. They’ve come to my rescue so many times.
Oh, and on the off chance that in some alternate/parallel universe David Tennant is reading this, congratulations on the well deserved award from the NTAs. Yeah… he’s totally reading this at some point in time.
Anyway, getting back on track.
I came across this challenge on PopSugar via Pinterest. And, sir, challenge accepted.
I’m going to kick things off with a trilogy. And that trilogy is The Lord of the Rings.
Does it count as cheating that I’ve already read it before? No, it most certainly does not. I read them once, like 5 years ago. I feel a little bit like a cheat for saying that – I love the movies (is that wrong? Loving the movies when I’ve only read the books once) – but since I’ve only read the books once can I really call myself a fan?
I plan to devour this book, to really take it in.
Check back later!
